Remove the Old Dancer Assembly
1. Turn Off (O) the printer and disconnect the power cord and all data cables.
2. See Figure 130. Open the media door and remove the media and ribbon.

3. See Figure 131. Relieve the spring tension from the dancer assembly by using a long
needle nose pliers to move the torsion spring leg off the printer post.
4.
Remove the E-ring, then slide off the bearings, the dancer, and the torsion spring.

Caution • Wear protective eyewear when installing or removing E-rings, C-clips, snap
rings, springs, and mounting buttons. These are under tension and could fly off.
