Open the Printer

Place the printer on the antistatic mat.

See Figure 11. Press the upper cover release buttons located on both sides of the printer.

Caution • Observe proper electrostatic safety precautions when handling

static-sensitive components such as circuit boards and printheads.

Connect yourself to an antistatic device.

Caution • Turn off (O) the printer before performing the following procedure.
