7. When rotated clockwise, the ribbon supply spindle subassembly encounters the

spring and attempts to spin the ribbon supply spindle subassembly

counterclockwise.

8. If the results in steps 6 and 7 are not achieved, repeat steps 2 through 7.

9. Refer to Figure 4-38. Slide the spindle assembly onto the shaft.
