Sensor What It Monitors How It Works

Printhead Sensor

Checks open/closed status of printhead

lever.

If printhead is open, printhead

LED flashes.

Media Sensor

Checks for proper media loading.

If printer runs out of media,

paper/ribbon LED turns on.

If non-continuous media is used, sets label

length for individual labels.

Ribbon Sensor Monitors presence of ribbon.

If printer runs out of ribbon,

paper/ribbon LED flashes.

Label-Available

Sensor (Peel-Off

option only)

In Peel-Off Mode, checks to see whether a

label is available.

Once a label prints, it passes

between the two parts of this

sensor and causes printer to

pause. When label is removed,

printing resumes.

Liner Rewind

Spindle Full Sensor

(Peel-Off option

only)

Senses when liner rewind spindle is full of

used liner.

When spindle is full, paper/

ribbon LED flashes.
