1. Turn the printer Off (O) and disconnect the AC power cord.

2. Open the media door and remove all media and ribbon from the printer.

3. Refer to Figure 4-15. Remove the electronics cover by removing the two screws that

secure the cover to the printer.

4. Refer to Figure 4-30. Using a hex key, loosen the stepper motor mounting screw.

Make note on where the drive belt is positioned on the platen pulley and swing the

stepper motor up to remove the drive belt.

5. Using a hex key, remove the stepper motor pivot screw. Remove the stepper motor

to gain access to the transmissive sensor mounting screw.

6. On the electronics side, cut the cable ties that hold the transmissive sensor assembly

wires along with other wires up to the main logic board.
